It feels like it's been forever since I posted anything here. I watched my no-longer-very-little guy wake up this morning, and he was so cute, with his sock monkey (Darren) and his "ghostbuster"* (flashlight) that I had to grab my camera.



*(his "ghostbuster" is used to scare away the "black ghosts", shadows, he's scared of)

I had a maternity shoot today with the most gorgeous, in love couple I have ever met. Love for each other was just pouring out of both of them. They made my job easy, in spite of several obstacles we had to overcome. E&B, I can't wait for you to see the rest of the proofs. Thank you for letting me come into your home and capture this precious time for you.

I miss this place:



Denver-Colorado in general, really-was so peaceful and serene. A far cry from the everyday chaos of my life. What I miss most of all, though, is the wonderful people I met there. I have never had so much fun in my entire life.

This tiny little boy is slipping away from me a little more every day. Replacing himself with a tougher, bigger talking, more independent version. He leaves for Grandma's today, and won't be back until next week. And even then, only for a few days, because then I head out to Denver for a few days of pea fun. :o) For all I know, the last vestiges of toddlerhood may slip away while he's at Grandma's, so I wanted to capture the other part of him-the sweet sleeping boy who still needs to crawl in bed with Momma and wrap his arms around me, and cling his little body to me, patting my back until he falls back to sleep. Because even that part will be gone before I realize it.
